The IS Radioshow

In a world in which the millennials, the generation born after 1980, spans the majority of our student population, it seems important that we, the generation born before 1980, might want to reconsider our approach to teaching. After all, the millennials are the first generation that has never lacked exposure to media innovations during their lifespan. They have always had ubiquitous access to TVs and telephones; in fact, they have grown up surrounded by high-definition televisions, surround-sound systems, the Internet, email, e-books, cellular phones, digitial music players, podcasts, socal networks sites, and more. Due to their high level of connectivity and their ease in using new media, they are said to learn "in situ," or in form of some simplified words: wherever and whenever.

As a result, two colleagues of our department have created the "Blake and Dennis radio show," available, as you might have guessed, as podcasts. Besides talking about core concepts in IS or recent technological trends, they also conduct "live" interviews with various people in the field in order to find out what topics keep CIOs awake at night.
