It all started with finding a present. Even if its your closest friend that you have to bestow a present upon, it doesn't make things easier. What can you get somebody that already has everything?

Well, here's an idea. What this person probably doesn't have is a portrait of her- or himself. While painting your head in oil has traditionally been associated with lots of time and even more money, it is, in today's Internet era, a rather hassle-free endeavor. Web sites exist, such as PhotoWow or BeFunky, that allow you to upload a digital photograph and, in return, receive a painting back. Not only that you can choose what style the masterpiece is painted in... whether pop art, watercolor, or collages... anything goes. You can even do it yourself!
